IPBCC - Congestion at the Port of Karachi
India Pakistan Bangladesh Cylon Conference
Member lines serving the trade between Pakistan and Europe are currently
incurring exceptionally high costs as a result of deteriorating operational
conditions in the port of Karachi.
As a consequence of this, Lines are considering the implementation of a
Congestion Surcharge should conditions not improve in the near future.
Members of the IPBCC are keeping the situation under review and will
advise of any further developments.
Further details may be obtained from Lines offices.
